In the last few years, there has been a significant decline in the number of children for whom a suitable family environment cannot be found in the Czech Republic and for whom it is necessary to look for an adoptive family abroad. A positive trend is that most children have already found adoptive or foster families in the Czech Republic. The number of children for whom we facilitate intercountry adoption is decreasing every year and the list of suitable applicants for adoption exceeds the number of children in our register. 

For this reason, we are limiting the number of countries which we cooperate with in the area of intercountry adoption facilitation. We are currently continuing our cooperation with Denmark, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Norway and Finland. However, even these countries can send only a limited number of applications for intercountry adoption to the Czech Republic.
